PRACTICE ROUTINE

Turn Short Practice Sessions Into Useful Progress

A repeatable routine makes it easier to see what improved and what still needs work.

Start With One Objective

Pick one objective, such as a smoother entry, better throttle control, or a cleaner transition. A narrow objective gives you something specific to watch during each run.

Use the Same Section

Choose a short section that contains the skill you want to practice. Repeating the same section removes unnecessary variables and makes comparisons easier.

Run Several Attempts First

Give yourself several attempts before deciding that the car needs a setup change. Look for a pattern rather than reacting to one bad run.

Ask Three Questions

  1. Did I enter at a similar speed?
  2. Did I make similar steering and throttle inputs?
  3. Did the car respond differently from what I expected?

Separate Driving From Setup

If your inputs are inconsistent, changing the setup may not solve the problem. First make the driving situation repeatable. If the same issue remains with consistent inputs, a setup experiment becomes more useful.

Finish With a Comparison

Repeat the original section at the end of the session without introducing another change. This gives you a simple comparison between the start and end of practice.
